Jones, Texas aviators, who were forced to abandon a nonstop flight from Seattle to Tokyo near here Thursday, hopped off at 4:40 p. m. (Pacific Standard Time), today on the way to Seattle. The two men plan to make another bid for the $25,000 prize offered for the first nonstop flight between the United States and Japan in about a Jones and Robbins flew in the Forth Worth and James Mattern and Nick Greener, operators of the refueling plane, were in the trimotored refueler. At Fairbanks, the refueling plane will be left, plans for the next proposed Seattle-Tokyo flight calling for another refueling in midair over that city.
