It is almost certain that it was the ship of the world flyers as neither of the Treadwell-Yukon company's planes were in the vicinity at the time. The plane was flying south. Carmacks is on the Yukon river. The flyers had been on their way almost three hours when the plane was sighted over Carmacks, at 7:15 a. m. Yukon time, is 8:15 P. S. T. If the plane sighted was that of Post and Gatty, they had traveled about 450 miles in direct air line from Fairbanks on their way to Edmonton. (See first page, second section for details of flight.)
