WILEY POST WIDOW FLIES TO ALASKA Joe Crosson, Who Brought Out Bodies, Pilots Woman Fairbanks, Alaska, Aug. 6.—(/P)— Alaska's most noted airplane pilot, Joe Crosson, landed here today after a five-hour flight' from Juneau with Mrs. Wiley Post as a passenger. Crosson's arrival was almost a year to the day when he piloted the remains of the late Will Rogers and Wiley Post from the scene of their fatal crash at Barrow, 400 miles north Mrs. Post, here to visit the Crossons, said she had met many Alaskan friends of her late husband. "They were very kind to him before he flew north," she said. Post and Rogers crashed Aug. 15, 1935. The Crossons live at the Hiyu gold mine, near Fairbanks. Mrs. Post, who went by steamer to Juneau, arrived in the interior in the midst of the territorial primary election battle which is less than a month away.
