Asks Flying Cross For Alaska Aviator. Asks Flying Cross for Alaska Aviator WASHINGTON, Aug. 20. (/P)—The distinguished flying cross was asked today for Joseph E. Crosson, Alaskan airman who flew the bodies of Will Rogers and Wiley Post from Point Barrow to their homeland, by the Alaska delegate in congress. Delegate Dimond pointed to other outstanding flights by Crosson, including the discovery of the body of Carl Ben Eielson, lost on the Siberian coast, his aid to Wiley Post when the latter was setting a globe-circling record, and other humanitarian flights in the northland.
