Fly To Alaska In Big Machines. FLY TO ALASKA IN BIG MACHINES SEATTLE, July 30.—Residents of Alaska when the northland is frozen over in winter may this year enjoy air transportation, relegating the time-honored husky and malamute to the past. Three enormous biplanes, equipped with four Liberty motors each, and each capable of carrying passengers and six tons or freight, it Incorporated Seattle company. They will cost $50,000 apiece. Two smaller service planes also are under way. The first planes, it is planned, will be shipped north in October and the, operation between Valdez, on the coast, and Fairbanks, in the interior.
