Barrow Observer Silent for Week For seven days no weather reports have arrived from Sergeant Stanley Morgan at Point Barrow, Alaska, northermost settlement on the continent. But Seattle weather bureau officials aren't worried. "Morgan has to provide food for his wife and daughter," they said. "His meat supply probably has run low, so he left the station to go hunting." Sergeant Morgan lives with his family closer to the North Pole than any other white man in North America.
