ANCIENT DOLL GOES TO NATIONAL MUSEUM WASHINGTON, Oct. 16. UP)—A doll of "respectable age"—probably several hundred years—went to the national museum today for study by a man who makes his living "digging up things." The toy was dug up by Captain Lin Jorgensen of the bureau of fisheries' cutter crane when the vessel touched a lonely Alaskan shore recently. Dr. Ales Hrdlicka of the museum, who has spent years studying forgotten races of the Aleutian islands and Alaska, said the doll probably had been dropped by some native who lived in the region long before the coming of the Russians.
