(&)—Believing lies told in recent contests in the States are mild compared to some of those unfolded in the far north, the Anchorage Daily Times has launched a search for Alaska's biggest liar. A list of prizes is being offered for the best whoppers. Such stories as ice worms destroying glaciers, and cabbages so big they float down the Yukon river like log rafts, the Times believes, overshadow the States' best.
