Alaska Towns Will Get New Hospitals ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Thursday, May 20.—(/P)—Plans for an extensive construction program, including a $150,000 hospital to be built at Bethel in Western Alaska next summer, were disclosed yesterday by Dr. H. R. Stamm, architect for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Stamm, on a tour of Alaska, has visited twenty-five communities, including Barrow. The Bureau will also build hospitals at Kanakanak and Tanana, enlarge the Kotzebue hospital, remodel the one at Unalakleet and construct a nurse's clinic and quarters at Kodiak at some future date, he said.
