Hunt for Flyers Continues in Vain FAIRBANKS, Alaska, Sept. 1. (/P)—Search for the lost soviet transpolar airmen centered today in activities of the soviet ice breaker Krassin, last reported bucking ice floes 150 miles east of Barrow. Flyers of three nations, who have flown thousands of miles in recent weeks in a vain hunt for the missing plane, awaited clearing weather before resuming their flights. The Krassin reported its last position as the 147th meridian and the 72d parallel, which put the ship off the northern Alaska coast approximately where the lost flyers were to have traveled on their flight from Moscow to Fairbanks. A hydroplane piloted by Soviet Flyer Zadkoff prepared at Barrow to hop off to the vicinity of the Krassin. The ship was to keep in radio communication with Barrow on the flight.
