Description
Summary:Rescue Parties out for Missing Flyer. RESCUE PARTIES OUT FOR MISSING FLYER McGRATH, Alaska, March 18.— —By airplane and dog team, rescue parties from five Alaska towns today prepared to start into the lower Kuskokwim river country in search of E. G.(Ed) Young,- missing aviator whose abandoned plane was found early Monday on the ice of the Kuskokwim below Kaltagamut. Plans call for the search to be carried out by dog team from Akiak, Bethel and Kaltagamut. Dog teams and an airplane are to start from McGrath while second plane is reported to be preparing to leave Anchorage. Inquiry at Indian villages near Kaltagamut has revealed no trace of the veteran airman, who left McGrath last Sunday for Bethel, a hop of 250 miles over one of the most desolate regions of the North.
