SEATTLE-ALASKA AIR LINE READY SEATTLE, Wash., April 4. (AP)- With the survey work completed, P. T. McCarty, president and general manager of International Airways, announced here today that the aviation company will start a passenger service from Seattle to British Columbia and Alaska early this summer, operating eight 10- passenger seaplanes. McCarty arrived in Seattle last night after a round trip flight to Juneau, Alaska, in a Boeing seaplane with four other passengers, including two women. McCarty declared today that the Boeing flying boat functioned perfectly and that the trip was made in easy stages to survey the coast route. Stops were made at Vancouver, Prince Rupert, Ketchikan and Juneau, the same points the International Airways, has scheduled for the proposed regular service. A branch line may be extended from Juneau to Sitka, McCarty said. The concern intends to seek mail carrying contracts from both the United States and Canadian governments.
