The wind velocity reached 90 miles an hour at the mouth of the Columbia river this morning and 75 miles an hour at Swiftsure bank. Storm warnings were posted at all Oregon and Washington coast stations and shipping was held inside. Center of the storm was off Ketchikan, where the barometer dropped to 28.5, It was said to be moving rapidly southeastward. Heavy rains occurred in British Columbia and northwestern Washington, and lighter rains as far south as southern Oregon. The storm was attended by moderate temperatures.
