RELEASE BERGMAN MIDDLE OF JULY Charles Bergman, Spokane furrier, has been granted a parole and will be released from the state penitentiary at Walla Walla about the middle of July. Word to this effect was received direct from the prison by the Chronicle today. Bergman, proprietor of the Siberian-Arctic Fur Manufacturing company, was convicted February 1, 1932, of setting fire to his fur store here. A sentence of from six month to 10 years was imposed. Under the terms of his parole Bergman is to be released at the end of his maximum sentence, which will be next month.
