U.S.-ALASKA ROAD BOOSTERS SEEK LICENSE Organization Backing Seattle- Fairbanks Highway Files For Incorporation Papers A new and militant organization has entered the fight for an international highway from Seattle to Fairbanks, Alaska, it was announced yesterday, with the filing of corporate license for the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Highway Association. The new organization plans to make a concerted and early effort, to secure approval of the project. Its campaign will be launched from Seattle. KNIGHT SECRETARY Incorporators and trustees of the association are: Edward W. Allen, M. O. Anderson, G. C. Berker, Carl F. Brazier, R. L. Brink, Dr. E. D. Clark, I. F. Dix, H. E. Dupar, Victor H. Elfendahl, R. F. Guimont, Earle W. Knight, Ralph Lomen, W. Erich Lucas, Edward F. Medley, Volney Richmond, Fred J. Wettrick and R. E. Williamson. These men, with others, have been active for the past four months in promoting the highway idea and at their last meeting elected Jim Knight, executive secretary. "It is the intention of the association to urge construction of channel," Knight said yesterday, "and we have been promised full cooperation of government officals of both nations involved."
