Temperatures at many Alaskan points far exceeded those in the usually warmer sections of the? "outside." Official weather bureau reports received here made Fairbanks— usually one of the coldest spots in the territory—the warmest place during the last 24 hours. The mercury registered 84 degrees at Fairbanks. j Other readings reported here were Bethel 70; dordova 74; Ketchikan 74; Kodiak 78; Dutch I Harbor 75; Nome 52; and Point Barrow 44.
