Description
Summary:Blizzard Halts Hunt For Plane BLIZZARD HALTS FAIRBANKS, Alaska, Jan. 8 (INS)—Missing since January 3 in the blizzard swept Alaska barrens, Jack Hermann, intrepid California flyer and a party of three passengers were found safe today according to word received here from the radio station of the Pacific Alaska airways at Nulato. FAIRBANKS, Alaska, Jan. 8— (INS)—A raging Arctic blizzard today halted the search for Jack Hermann, smiling Californian and his three passengers missing since January 3, on a flight from Aki- ak to Fairbanks. John Lynn, veteran Arctic flyer for the Northern Air transport, for which Hermann also was a pilot, was grounded at McGrath where he flew yesterday with two observers to take up the search for the missing plane. In a message to the Transport company headquarters here Lynn said his search would be resumed as soon as the storm lifts sufficiently to allow his plane to take the air.
