It was decided to follow the lines of Canadian surveys rather than the monuments of early Russian lines. Recent developments of the properties near Hyder, reports of which spread to the outside world, have elicited hundreds of inquires from the United States and even Great Britain, which it believed, may presage a "rush" to Hyder next spring rivaling the famous Klondike stampede.
