I. E. Baker, commander of the patrol boat Morris, will be received by the Coast Guard in Seattle Thursday. The Morris was sent from Sitka to Dry Spruce Bay to investigate the strike after Capt. Arthur Ryn- ing, master of the Tanana, had wirelessed that firemen had refused to discharge cargo unless paid longshoremen's wages. It is customary for crew members to work cargo in isolated places in Alaska where no longshoremen are available. Coast Guard headquarters was advised that Lieutenant Baker's report was mailed on the steamship Yukon at Seward. The vessel is due in Seattle either late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. The Coast Guard also was advised that the Tanana is on her way to Seattle and the Morris is returning to her base.
