Summary:Vessel Sails North After Being Aground VESSEL SAILS NORTH AFTER BEING AGROUND KETCHIKAN, Alaska, Dec. 2 (AP)—The steamer Northwestern of the Alaska line, which ran around In Seymour narrows, proceeded north today after being refloated at high tide. Freezing of the vessel's whistle, used for "echo" navigation, sent her ashore in heavy fog in the twisting-, narrow passage. With high tide, the Northwestern floated free, apparently undamaged, the coast guard cutter Cyane reported here.
