UP) —A Sitka youth on his way to the United States to enter the University of Oregon arrived here by rowboat last night. Robert Dearmond, bound for Eugene, Ore., made the trip from Sitka, more than 2000 miles, in slightly over three weeks. He left Sitka in his 16- foot boat on June 23. He plans to row to Seattle, he said, and motor to Eugene from there. He will major in journalism.
