Alaska.—The steamer Boxer of the United States Bureau of Education was here recently, preparing to go south after her first season of service as a floating: industrial school. Throughout the winter the Boxer carried 19 students, Eskimo lads who had distinguished themselves in the seventh and eighth grades of the government schools Eight of the students came from (he country between Point Barrow and Wainwright inlet, the farthest north of all United States land, and the rest from the Panhadle of southeastern Alaska.
