Additions have been made to the quantity of gold obtained by the Goldsmith Dredging company in its operations on the Little Solomon river, 70 miles from Nome, Alaska, according to a telegram from W. H. Suk.sdorf, in charge of operations. "The extraction in the first three weeks of September averaged $4000 a week,"- sayfc a telegram from him, received at. the office of John B. White, president yesterday. This report is the! third made by Mr. Suksdorf since cleanups were resumed It shows an important improvement in recovery over that in the first report when the boat was operating ir half thawed ground, according to a large stockholder. Eight men, including Mr. Suksdorf are engaged in the operation. The cost of operation is 14000 monthly including payroll, fuel oil and othei supplies, he said.
