Antarctica up to this day the last fully economically unexploited continent. But, its potential exploitation must be supported by legislation. This thesis focuses on finding possibilities for future evolution of the legal platform of economic exploitation of Antarctica. The first part analyzes the potential of natural wealth and the situation of the main actors of the present system. In the second part, the findings from the analysis are applied on the present legal regime, to produce recommendations for the future. Antarktida je dodnes posledním plně ekonomicky nevyužívaným kontinentem. Její potenciální využívání ale musí být podloženo právní úpravou. Tato práce se zaměřuje na nalezení možností rozvoje právní platformy ekonomického využití Antarktidy. V první části je analyzován potenciál přírodního bohatství a situace jednotlivých hlavních aktérů současného systému. V druhé části jsou poznatky z analýzy aplikovány na současný právní režim, čímž vznikají doporučení do budoucna.
