Tato práce se zabývá geografickými informačními systémy a to z více úhlů pohledu. První úhel se zabývá těmito systémy pouze všeobecně, popisuje jejich definici a využití. Dalším úhlem je popis konkrétního systému a to je geografického informačního systému hlavního města Prahy. Jedním z cílů práce je zjistit, které úřady jej využívají, oblasti, ve kterých se používá a za jakým účelem, v jakém softwarovém prostředí apod. Dalším cílem je zhodnocení ekonomických aspektů tohoto geografického systému. Jaké náklady a výnosy jsou dosahovány, za jakých podmínek, jejich výše atd. Dalším cílem je komplexní zhodnocení systému pomocí jeho SWOT analýzy. Na vypracování práce se významnou měrou podíleli i sami pracovníci Magistrátu hl. m. Prahy prostřednictvím rozhovorů s autorkou z důvodu absence některých informací v tištěné či elektronické podobě. This bachelor thesis deals with geographical information system from more points of view. First point of view deals with those systems only generally, it describes their definition and usage. Another point of view is concrete system description, accurately geographical information system of Prague. One of many aims of this thesis is to find out which authorities derive benefit from it, areas, in which is it used, for which purpose, in which software, etc. and help the readers to orientate in this system. The other aim is construction of the geographical system economical analysis. Which costs and profits are reached, under which conditions, their height etc. One of taims of this thesis is also SWOT analysis of system. Thesis was written thanks to talks with municipal Prague authorities' employees, because of absence some information in printed or electronic form.
