In June 2018, the region will install its inaugural piece of public art selected through the Public Art Program. The PAC developed a multi-stage engagement and decision-making strategy, which significantly relied on residents to provide input on the selection of the inaugural piece and the location of the site on which it will be installed. This engagement and decisionmaking strategy was an innovative approach at the time it was implemented.
