There is demand for innovative fish-based products. Finland has global expertise in operating in cold climate conditions which makes Finnish industries and ecosystems natural partners in development cooperation aiming at adding the value of Arctic fish. There are many aspects to raising the value-added of fish: developing fishing and fish handling processes, developing new user-friendly products for the customers and looking for new markets for fish as a raw material. This report maps the business and innovation ecosystem of fish in Finland and illustrates the opportunities linked with raising the value-added of fish.
