She was built at Tacoma in 1898 for a group of Midwestern mining enthusiasts using the engines from the OTTER. The JULIA B. was a stern-wheeled steamer built by Cook & Lake in 1908 in Ballard for the Yukon Transportation Company. Notes from Gordon Newell, ed., The H.W.
