She was rebuilt in 1911 and returned to service the following year as the Yukon under ownership of the Alaska Coast Steamship Company. Although she was intended to overcome her poor reputation, the Yukon ran ashore after striking a reef near Sannak Island on June 18, 1913, which ended her career.
