The fairgrounds were located on the campus of the University of Washington. This photo shows the Hawaii Building with the top end of the Cascade Fountain at the lower right corner of the frame. The Cascade Fountain flowed down to the Geyser Basin, forming the central north-south axis of the fairgrounds designed by landscape architects the Olmsted Brothers. Frank H. Nowell (1864-1950) was the official photographer of the AYPE, and his photographs were displayed at the fair and used in many official publications. 1 glass negative: b&w; 8 x 10 in.
