| Summary: | 1909 The Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition was held on the University of Washington campus from June 1 to October 16, 1909. The fair celebrated the years of prosperity brought to the city since the first gold arrived from Alaska in 1897. "See Seattle" was promoted as "the official song and waltz of the A-Y-P Exposition," but many pieces were written to promote Seattle's first world's fair. The cover design includes the official exposition seal (top center); a photo of Exhibits Director Colonel Henry E. Dosch (1841-1925); and an aerial photograph of the A.Y.P. grounds, surrounded by Alaskan and appropriated Native American motifs. The music and lyrics written by W.
