Man brings two fish caught 80 miles down the river home on snowmobile. Using snowmobile to get water from the community watering hole. Title of clip supplied by cataloger. Episode 3, Clover Park School District, KCPQ-TV Channel 13, Tacoma Washington Narrator: Ruth Kirk, Louis Kirk Member of the Village: Ike Jackobs According to email correspondence with Ruth Kirk in March 2011, a friend in Kobuk, Alaska, wrote Ivishak-pa is the Eskimo name for Ambler. Ivishak means red, and pa means mouth.� So, Mouth of the Red River. We call it the Redstone River, which is now regarded as a tributary of the Ambler. The video shows some scenes of folks fishing tomcod through the ice in front of Kotzebue, and then a stop in a village on the way to Ambler.
