Description
Summary:This is a sample of the snow that was taken, and it shows the gas chromatograph spectrum that would come out of that instrument. It shows the concentration of Freon 12 at approximately 2.5 parts per billion, Freon 11 at 1.6 parts per billion. We also show methyl chloride at 25 parts per billion and methyl bromide at a lower level, methyl iodide at about 30 parts per trillion. We have then chloroform at about 4.7 parts per billion. We have CH3CCL3, which is another chlorine containing compound at around 360 parts per trillion. We then have carbon tetrachloride at about 130 parts per trillion and then CHCL double bond CCL2, which is another cleaning material at around 250 parts per trillion. So we were about to measure quite a few of the different freons on the gas chromatograph from the given snow or air sample.
