Laughing Eskimo child named Mukpie in a fur parka, Seward Peninsula, circa 1908-1915

Mukpie, a Point Barrow Eskimo girl, was the youngest person aboard, and one of the survivors of the S.S. Karluk, part of the Canadian-Arctic Expedition of 1913, which sank on January 10, 1914. PH Coll 328.109
