Filed in Yukon Territory Mae Eldorado Edgren was born to Jesse L. Edgren (b. 1875, Wisconsin) and Mae Bennett in 1898 in either the Yukon or in Alaska. Jesse and Mae were married February 26, 1898, in Dane County, Wisconsin. Mae Bennett Edgren died in 1899, and baby Mae was sent home to Wisconsin to her grandparents. She is found living with her grandparents, James and Bertha Bennett in Madison, Wisconsin, in the 1900 U.S. Census. James Bennett died in 1904 at Madison. In the 1910 U.S. Census for Wisconsin, Jesse L. Edgren has returned to Wisconsin and remarried, and Mae is found living with her father and his new wife in Milwaukee. Jesse Edgren died in 1915 in Hennepin County, Wisconsin.
