Late Cretaceous Megaspilidae (Hymenoptera) from amber of the Taymyr

Paleontological data on the parasitic hymenoptera, Megaspilidae, are very limited. The only ones described at present are two species of Lagynodes Foster and three species of Conostigmus Dahlbom from the Upper Eocene amber of the Baltic [5 -7], and also the only Late Cretaceous (Campanian) species L...

The new species to be described below, Prolagynodes penniger and Conostigmus dolicharthrus, from the Upper Upper Cretaceous amber of the Taymyr, expand our knowledge of the taxonomic variety and distribution of the megaspilids in Late Cretaceous time.
