U teorijskom dijelu ovoga rada u njegovom uvodnom dijelu dan je kratak opis zaštite korozije premazima, sa ekonomskog gledišta, te sami principi nastajanja korozije. Navedene su i opisane metode zaštita metala od korozije. Vrste premaznih sredstava po različitim podjelama i principima kao i posebitosti svake vrste premaza. Posebno su opisani premazi na bazi otapala i vodorazrjedivi premazi, te njihove razlike, odnosno karakteristike. U eksperimentalnom dijelu ovoga rada prikazan je pokus, odnosno praktična usporedba vodorazrjedivih i otapalom razrijeđenih premaza. In the theoretical part of this paper, in its introductory section, a brief description of corrosion protection by coatings is given from an economic perspective, as well as the principles of corrosion formation itself. Methods for protecting metals from corrosion are also mentioned and described. Types of coating materials are presented based on different classifications and principles, along with the particularities of each type of coating. Solvent-based coatings and water-based coatings, as well as their differences and characteristics, are specifically described. In the experimental part of this study, a experiment is presented, specifically a practical comparison of water-based and solvent-diluted coatings.
