| Summary: | The main aim of this study is to evaluate the quality of the Breast Cancer Screening Program performed in the State Clinical Hospital (Khanty-Mansiysk) and to detect the breast cancer risk factors. The screening covers women over 40 years old. The screening interval is 2 years, with two-view mammography and single reading as the standard. During 2007- 2009 within the Program, 4896 women were screened. The screening coverage rate is the approximately 40%. 8,8% of screened women were referred for further assessment. The average cancer detection rate was 5 per 1000 screened women. The test sensitivity was estimated as 96%. The information from 926 completed questionnaires has detected the main risk factors for breast cancer and benign diseases of the breast for women from Khanty-Mansiysk. The main problem for our Screening Program is the low coverage rate. Therefore the first task is to improve uptake among the target population in our region. Also we have to organize a comprehensive screening data capture system, to collect more detailed data on the screening process, including round of screening and information on interval cancers. Nevertheless, the better stage of the already screen- detected tumours suggests that in the long term the Screening Program will be successful in further reducing mortality from the disease. Цель исследования - оценка качества проведения маммографического скрининга рака молочной железы на базе Окружной клинической больницы г. Ханты-Мансийска и определение основных факторов риска развития данной патологии. Стратегия скрининга: возраст - старше 40 лет, интервал между обследованиями - 2 года, 2 проекции каждой молочной железы, одно прочтение маммограмм (single reader). В 2007-2009 гг. было обследовано 4892 женщины. Дополнительное обследование рекомендовано в 8,8% случаев. Показатель выявления рака молочной железы при скрининге составил 5 на 1000 обследованных.
