Friends were sorry to hear of the death of a former Del Bonita resident, Mrs. Maud Simpson, beloved wife of Clare C. Simpson of Lethbridge. Born in Calgary where she received her education, she moved to Lethbridge j following her marriage, then in 1956 to I Del Bonita where Mr. Simpson was employed ! by Canadian Customs. In June 19&9 they I returned to Lethbridge where she had | resided until her sudden passing on Thurs— [ day, May 23rd at the age of 63 years. She is survived by her husband, | two sons Robert of Grande Prairie, John | of Lethbridge and one daughter Mrs. B.F. (Barbara) McFadden of Lethbridge and 1 two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, i May 27th in St. Augustine’s Anglican Church with interment in Mountain View Cemetery. • ••••• DEL BONITA 4 H Beef CLUB NEWS The monthly meeting of the Del Bonita 4 H Beef Club was held May 10th at t he home of Ray Powlesland. The meeting was in the form of a judging meeting. Before the judging, club members wrote a Club Quiz. The club judged two classes of yearling bulls and one class ef yearling heifers. After judging the club went into Mr. Powlesland’s basement and held a short meeting. Darrel Koskewich brought the meeting to order and Kathy Barnett led the pledge. Business, old and new, comm­enced. Doreen Jones adjourned the meet­ing and "God Save the Queen" was sung. After the meeting the ladies served a del­icious supper. The 4 H Club would like to thank everybody who helped in any way to make the two judging meetings enjoyable and interesting.
