According to Ken he has the best crop he ever had. No fertilizer. We said to Ken, "Dozens of farmers East of us lost their crops by hail. From that 200 acres why don’t you take five bushels an acre from your harvest5 that would be 5 x 200 = 1,000 bushels and give to farmers who lost everything?" . "Nothing doing," said Ken, Well, there is where Communism comes in as advocated by Karl Marx. "From him who hath to him who hath not, to everyone according to his needs". Communism as developed by Lenin and the Bolshevik party in Russia. And then we read from the Good Book, We quote two verses from Acts 2: 44 and 45 verses — "And all that believed were together and had all things common, and sold their possessions and goods and parted them to all men as every man had need", etc. Kansas City, Missouri, Dear Friends: We want to thank all of you for the nice way you treated us on our recent visit. We have had a wonderful trip but no part of it has meant as much as our visit in Jfegrath. Thanks for the good dinners and picnic at Waterton and for driving us all over the country. Congratulations to the committee that planned the 24th Celebration. We enjoyed all of it, I’m sure Heber will never forget how much fun he had driving that team of FAlominos, "Thanks Ted"; and I thought it was fun. Enjoyed the faces too. All those who had any part in the planning did a great job. Thanks for a wonderful time. Sincerely, Heber and Marion Hodges, Magrath Trading Co. Ltd, Magrath, Alberta, Del Bonita, Alberta August 14, I960. Dear Mr, Ririe: I would sincerely like to thank you for purchasing ny calf at the 4H Calf Club Sale in Lethbridge on July 13th, I appreciate your support for 4 H in general and hope my calf was satisfactory to you. Thank you, . . Yours truly, Bill Newton. Watson Ririe is a patient in the Magrath Municipal Hospital as a result of injuries received Monday when a trench he was digging at the sight of his new home caved in on top of him. He is suffering from broken ribs, badly scraped arm, bruised chest and body. Watson's accident was similar to one experienced by Frank Heinish many years ago and Frank recalled the accident Tuesday morning in the Hardware Department, He was digging a ditch which suddenly caved in upon him pinning his arms and covering him to his chin. He was able to call for help and a young lad about 11 years of age came running up, Frank asked him go for help but instead the boy picked up a shovel and at once started removing the dirt, working "like a man" ar Frank described it, Frank was able to slip out of his rubber boots and climb out of the trench and was rushed to the hospital immediately, To this day he does not know who the energetic, hard working boy was who dug him out of that trench , O • • e 9 o • e o o 0 Mrs. Irene Strang and Mrs, Pearl Harrison were joint hostesses at the home of Mrs, Strang when they entertained last Thursday afternoon in honor of Mrs. Ada Funk of Salt Take City, Utah who is visiting with her brother-in-law and sister Mr, and Mrs, Soren Sorensen, Neighbors present for the occasion were Mesdameu Ada Funk, Cloe Sorensen, Maud Ririe, Sarah B.
