I finally found a beautiful box that played a tune he loves. I was ready to buy when I decided the gift would look even better if the box were red. Sure enough, they had one in the back, so the clerk went and got it and wrapped it for me. On his birthday, I handed him his gift. He was thrilled with the music box until he opened the lid only to hear the tinkling, unmistakable strains of “The Old Gray Mare.” I spent the rest of the evening assuring him he wasn’t over the hill! —N.M., Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada Popcorn- pops when the moisture inside it gets hot and explodes. But if you have constant headaches, see a doctor, advises neurologist Roger Woods, M.D., of UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Woods suggests keeping a headache diary before your visit, to gather clues as to what triggers them. List: 1. Time headache began. 2. What you ate in the previous 24 hours. 3. What activity you were engaged in. 4. How the pain fett 5. How long it lasted. 6. What made it stop. “This will help your physician determine whether yours is a tension headache, migraine or something more serious," says Dr. Woods.CLASSIFIED ADS DEADLINE: TUESDAY 12 NOON PHONE 758-6377 Less than 30 words—$1.07 Small ad (2.5"X 3.5")-$5.35 1/4 page --- $7.49 1/3 page --- --- $8.56 1/2 page --- $10.70 Full Page—Copy Ready-—$25.00 Full Page—We do --- $37.45 Flyer insertion (your paper) Lost: one small grey & white kitty, very skinny, 6 mos. old, answers to "Ginger". Perry Weekly Beech Grove For those of us that missed Premier Ralph Klein last Thursday here is a few of the subjects he touched on. He promised to let Albertans decide how the government should re-invest surplus budget money. Klein delivered his standard, and well-known, Alberta Advantage Speech. In this speech he says the government will allow Albertans, through a phone line or mail out to decide how we should spend some of the money saved on reduced debt interest payments. He was applauded when he suggested using the extra money to pay down the debt or provide tax breaks. Klein states the province is in a good position "We can settle down & start to enjoy our renewed home". He defended increases to tuition fees and said controls on education spending were needed to ensure its future. Klein denied rumors of another cut of $100 million to prescription drug programs. But says that amount can be saved by eliminating waste and duplications.
