Nov. 28, we travelled across the border to play Great Falls. The game was not officiated very well & our team fell short in many aspects of the game. We started the game missing 3 players. By the half way mark of the 2 period we were down to 7 skaters as 2 players were ejected from the game for checking from behind. Everyone was getting agitates as the game progressed. Even the Coach and the goalie were reprimanded by the referee. The game was slowly getting out of control. At the end of 60 min we skated to the showers on the short end of a 8-3 score. Goals: Chad R.-4. Assists: 1 ea. Ben W. Kyle H. Ryan N. Janya C. Penalties Denver W. 1, Cody R. 1, Kyle S. 1; Ben W 1. We played in an 8 team tournament in Clareshohn Dec. 4-6. The games were set up with 2-30 min periods. We ran out of legs & steam by the middle of the 2 half. Our 1st game was Fri. Dec. 4 vs. Clareshohn Thunder, The 1st period was disastrous as it seemed the entire team was playing somewhere else & we skated to the dressing room trailing 5-2. The break & the little chat in the dressing room seemed to have done some good as both teams scored 2 goals, leaving us on the losing end of a 7-4 score. Heads were low but we played a much improved last half & stayed with the Thunder all the way. Goals: Ben. W. -; Ryan N. 1-1/ Assists: Denver W, Kyle S. Janay C, Chad R. Penalties: Kyle S 1, Denver W 2; Eric G. 1. MVP Ben Walkey. Our 2nd game was Sat. Dec. 5, vs. Taber Carriers. Once again our 1st 1/2 time was played as if we weren’t there! The score was 50 as we started the 2 half. We were outnumbered, out played & out scored as we left the ice on the blank end of a 9-0 score. Shots on net were 47-16. Penalties: Kyle S 1, Denver W.2, Eric G. 1. MVP Peter Lee. Our final games was Sun. Dec. 6 at 8:30 am vs the Okotoks Oilers. Maybe it was the early morning fresh air or just our turn, but we played much better in the 1st half as we left the ice with a 3-2 lead. After the break our bad luck started to show again as we started to skate as individuals once more & not as a team, despite the prompts of the coaches to pass the puck. We managed to hank on for a 4-3 win & brought home in the 4th place plaque. Goals: Chad R. 1-1, Eric G. 1, Janay C. 1, Cody R. 1. Assists: Kyle S. 1, Dustin M. 2; Denver W. 1. Penalties: Kyle H. 2; Janay C. 1; Cody R. 1; Denver W. 2; Eric G. 2; Ben W. 1. MVP: Janay Chipman. ** The Bantam schedule has been re-vamped as Foremost has moved to the "A" level. When the plants died, by the end of the first week the girl was away at school, the mother quickly called and reported the loss. When the young lady phoned a week later, the mother confessed that the goldfish had died too. There was a long pause. Then, in a fearful voice, the girl gently asked, “How’s Dad?” ' .
