Farewell testimonial services were held in the Magrath Third Ward L.D.S. Church Sunday afternoon for Berry Gorham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gorham. Opening prayer was offered by Sharon Anderson. Speakers for the service were parents Bob and Hazel Gorham, Bishop Bob West, Bishop Alan Dudley, Duncan Thompson, and Berry. Special musical number was a vocal duet "0 If I Were An Angel" by Barbara Pilling and Carolyn Ririe accompanied by Mona Kado. Closing prayer was offered by Barbara Thompson. Berry left Wednesday and will go to the Arcadia California Mission field to fulfil a two year mission. Velour Jackets Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Thompson and daughters of Edmonton attended the farewell services for her brother Berry Gorham. Also attending the services from a distance were Barbara Pilling from Rick's College, Rexburg, Idaho and Carolyn Ririe of Edmonton. NOTICE: The'Adult Art Class needs models. REG. $25.95 REGULAR $29.95 Friends will be sorry to hear of the passing of former Magrath resident Bill Ferguson of Calgary who passed away Sunday, October 7th, 1979 at the age of 57 years. Born in Rockyford, Alberta, he came to Magrath with his family in 1928. He served overseas on the Second World War, and at the time of his death was a Car Salesman in Calgary. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George (Vickie) Robertson of Prince George, B.C.; one son Bruce and wife June of Calgary; one grandson Kevin Robertson; his mother Mrs. Veta Beding-field of Fort Macleod, one brother Jim Ferguson of Cardston; two sisters Mrs. Helen Schaffer of Cardston and Eileen Eden of Fort Macleod. Funeral services were held in the Magrath LDS Chapel Thursday, Oct. 11th with Bishop Bob West officiating. Interment took place in the Magrath Cemetery. Funeral services were held in the Magrath L.D.S. Chapel Tuesday afternoon, October 16th with Bishop Ray Stevenson officiating. The family prayer was offered by Bob Henderson. The Opening Hymn by the choir was 0 My Father" accompanied on the organ by Kathleen Harker with Charlotte Fletcher chorister. The biography was given by Lloyd Meldrum. "One Sweetly Solemn Thought", a Mixed Quartet, was rendered by Glenn and Charlotte Fletcher, Maureen Rasmussen and Moyle Pilling. Speaker for the service was Cal Alston. The closing hymn by the choir was "Sometime We’ll Understand". The benediction was offered by Boyd Harris. The instrumental postlude was rendered by Nyal and Freda Fletcher. Ushers were Rulon Thomson and George Dudley. Mabel Schmunk presided at the Memorial register. Pallbearers were Wayne Harris, Jim Green, Tom Kinsey, Bob Whitehead, Gary Marshall and Greg Leavitt. Interment took place in the Magrath Cemetery with Dr. Lloyd Harris offering the graveside prayer. THANK YOU: I would like to thank most sincerely, the doctors, nurses and staff of the Magrath Municipal Hospital for the kind care and att­ention I received and relatives for visits, my thanks it all very much. while a patient; to friends cards, flowers, gifts and to all of you.
