Special celebrations for Alberta's birthday will be held this summer and Dr. Kennard CHRISTMAS BY THE YARD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR PRE—CHRISTMAS SALE ON FABRICS INCLUDING ALL OUR SUITINGS, DRESS FABRICS, PRINTS, BROADCLOTHS, LININGS, GINGHAMS, KNITS (with the exception of Nylon Tricot). 20% OFF STOCKING STUFFERS has expressed a desire to do all he can to help prepare our band for these. Dr. Kennard has been working with those members of the band who are willing to try and keep it going. He has been driving to Magrath two mornings a week on his own time to help try and keep our kids practising and give them much needed help. Some of these mornings there have been a pitiful few in attendance to compensate for his time. Dr. Kennard has also agreed to try and have a Christmas concert (which would really be a treat for all of us) but he can only do that if the students will put forth the effort to come to the practises. We can't have much of a band concert with only eight or ten kids. If the concern for the band is really as great as it appears to be, we hope that the . parents will get behind their band students and encourage them to attend Dr. Kennard's early morning classes. These are held Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:30 a.m. Certainly we can't complain about the lack of band opportunities, the School Board, or anything else if we refuse to take advantage of the opportunities which are offered to us. Come on kids, let's all get together and give the band a second chance - and Dr. Kennard a big shock by showing up for early morning band Tuesday, Dec. 4th. Band Parents Association.
