Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Tate of Calgary. Maternal grandmother is Margaret Hindley of Magrath who at present is with the Tate family. Mr. and Mrs. Henning Andersen of Salt Lake City, Utah are visiting relatives and friends in Magrath and district, guests of her mother, Mrs. Alvira Bridge. James L. Gibb .passed away in Raymond after a lengthy illness at the age of ¿8 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Aria Gibb ef Raymond.- He was born in Magrath, the eldest son bf Milton H. and Sarah Anne Gibb. After fi rri shi ng high school in Magrath he attended Normal School in Calgary and taught school for 13 years. He then moved to Welling where he farmed for 17 years. In 195^ he moved to Edmonton where he was Alberta Manager for World Book Childcraft of Canada. He retired to Raymond in 19&&. He is survived by five sons and one daughter, seven granddaughters, five grandsons, five brothers and five sisters. Funeral services were held Monday, February 10th in the Raymond Stake Chapel with Bishop R. Chipnan officiating. Interment followed in Temple Hill Cemetery, Raymond. MAGRATH trading company ltd. Thursday Magrath Super Subs played the L.C.I. Colts losing to the Colts. Top scorers for Super Subs were Chris Clifton with 11 points, Rob Rnl1ingson with 10. L.C.I.*s Bruce Olsen netted 12 pointsa In the second game Cardston Cougars defeated Lethbridge 2nd Ward with Ron Secretan getting 14 points for Cardston, Gordon Hudson and Chris ^amenson both netting 10 points for Lethbridge. The third game Thursday saw Magrath Eagles aefeat Winston Churchill Mastiffs. Rod Ririe led Magrath with 20 points while Brian Seleshi made 20 points for Winston Chi rohi 1 ~1, The final game Thursday saw Raymond Mustangs down Catholic Central Flyers. Mustangs were helper by Dave Williams who got 18 pointu. Top scorer for Catholic Central was Domici Santagelo who got 23 points’.' ’ ' ’ ’ ' . . Saturday’s semi finial games were at 3 P.M. and 4*30 P.M. In the 3 P.M. encounter Magrath Eagles defeated L.C.I. Colts. Rod Ririe was top scorer for Magrath with 12 points, Alex Gimpaneres netted 16 for L.C.I. Cardston Wildcats defeated Raymond Mustangs in the 4*30 P.M. encounter. Ron Secretan of Cardston netted 27 points, Doug Mendenhall of Raymond made 14. At 7 P.M. Raymond Mustangs tangled with L.C.I. Colts defeating them for the third place trophy. Dave Williams hooped 24 points for Raymond, Glade Roberts 14 for L.C.I. . The championship game went at 8:30 P.M. with Magrath Eagles securing the championship over Cardston Wildcats. Wildcats earned second place in the ’tourney. All stars were awarded to Alex Gimpaneris of L.C.I., Dave Williams of Raymond, Ron Secretan of Cardston, Paul Wolsey and Rod Ririe of Magrath. Caraston was awarded the Sportsmanship trophy while the Magrath Cheerleaders won the cheerleading trophy, A sincere "thank you" is extended to all those who helped make this tournament a success.
