Two perfect goals by Tommy Lee in the second, put us ahead 2-1 at ' the end of the second. Taste of victory was on everyone's lips until the 20 second mark when with six players on the attack, Raymond snuck the puck past our goalie Greg Bourne, who played an excellent game. This was the closest we've come to beating Raymond all year. The final score 2—2, with the hustler award to #2 Greg Henry. Magrath’s third game, which was Game #16 on the schedule, was against Cardston Friday at 3:30 p.m. This was a very close checking game with the first goal coming at 17:24 of the third period. Gavin Beck to Lome McKelvey to Ianden Harker and we were in the lead again. A great glove save by Greg Bourne in the last 45 seconds kept us in the lead and we ended the game with a 2-1 victory. Hustler award went to Greg Bourne. Saturday, and time for the finals. Our one win, one tie and one loss put us in Game #22 vying for 3rd or 4th position against Lethbridge Legionnaires. This was a very close game. Greg Bourne came up bigin the first period as he held his ice to a Lethbridge player who’ was awarded a penalty shot. Final score 3-2 for Lethbridge gave us second consolation. Both goals .for Magrath were scored by Gavin Beck with Bart Bullock receiving an assist. Hustler award went to Landen Harker. SAFETY TIPS MESSAGE FROM THE AMBULANCE PERSONNEL. Now that the warmer days are approaching, more and more youngsters in Alberta will suffer grievous injury from bicycle accidents. It is our recommendation that you consider purchasing a cycling helmet for your child. Suitable helmets should be nationally approved and thefit should be tailored to the wearer. Wearing someone else's helmet may not provide the safety required if an automobile collides with your child. If the helmet is involved in a fall, have it checked at the store of purchase to be sure the helmet will protect in subsequent mishaps. It goes without saying that all children should follow the rules of the road and safety should be a primary concern. Ambulance care can be reached at 758-3371, however, safety measures may prevent you from needing to make that call.
