Experts say you can keep them from getting stuck in your throat by swallowing a bite of banana or oatmeal right after you take them. The mushy food will grab the pill, carrying it the rest of the way down. Even better, take a sip of water before you swallow the pill to help it go right down. Experts say you can keep them from getting stuck in your throat by swallowing a bite of banana or oatmeal right after you take them. The mushy food will grab the pill, carrying it the rest of the way down. Even better, take a sip of water before you swallow the pill to help it go right down.
