Alan has been in the force twelve years and has been a pilot for the past five years. He is married with two daughters and is stationed in Yellowknife, N.W.T. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Sabey and son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Bryon Mason and daughters of Nanaimo, B.C. are visiting at the home of Mrs. Lyda Poulsen. *> Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Meldrum have had as their visitors Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McGavin from Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Zemp and family from Calgary and Sharon Meldrum from Banff. A June meeting of the Magrath Hospital Auxiliary was called to order by President Janet Boucher in the Nurses Lounge of the Hospital. Minutes were read and approved. A bank balance of $651.00 was reported. It was moved all bills be paid. Hospital visiting is taken care of until August. . Further discussion was held on the Gerald Leishman presented'with a cheque for $200.00 the croupette. The Magrath Hospital Auxiliary is in charge of the floor for the Blood Donor Clinic. Mrs. Matkin and Mrs. Dahl will be in charge of the details. One size fits all. ******* Beautiful ANTELOPE RIDGE WOMEN’S INSTITUTE Elaine Holland, Public Health Nurse from Chief Mountain Health Unit, Cardston, was guest speaker at the Women's Institute meeting June 28th at the home of Carol Raasch. She told about the services the Health Unit provides some of which include Pre­natal Classes held weekly in Lethbridge, Raymond and Cardston. Well Baby Clinic in Cardston. Hearing and Eye testing done in the schools. Speech Therapy is available in Cardston. T.B. Testing and Immunization are also provided by the unit and in most cases are free. Dental Hygiene will be free to all preschoolers ber. . A free Home Nursing offered in Septem-course and a Physical Fitness course for a small sum are available to the public. There should be about ten, people in a group to take either course. They each last ten weeks. For roll call each member demonstrated a first aid procedure. .There were two guests Mrs. Jolayne Whitt of Magrath and Mrs. Mary Ranylchuck from Canora, Sask. The Clyne Harker family met on July 3rd to honor their parents who had been married 40 years on June 30th. All seven children were home for the occassion and included George, Laureen, Karen, Marvin, Merlin, Jean and Roy coming from Vancouver, Edmonton, Stettler, Lethbridge ■ and Magrath. The family had not been at f ive trunks at the home at the same time for six years. Dinner was served at noon tables set on the lawn under trees at the parents’ home. The afternoon was spent visit­ing while the grandchildren went swimming and played ball. There are 16 grandsons and 6 grand­daughters. He was 26 years of age. ' Born in Magrath on December 4, 1949, Clifford received his elementary and high school education in Magrath. Re attended the Lethbridge Community College and Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary. He was employed with Wittick Mechanical Contractors Ltd. of Lethbridge at the time of his passing. Clifford was interested in sports and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He served a term as a Steward on the official board of the Magrath United Church while still a teenager. He was married in April, 1973 to the former Dorothy Salberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Salberg of Magrath, and they had made their home in Leth­bridge. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife Dorothy, his parents Leonard and Alma Whitt, one brother Bill; two sisters Mrs. Irene (Alec) Dudas of Leth­bridge and Sharon at home; three nieces; his grandparents Mrs. Virginia Whitt of Lethbridge, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bortignon of Nanaimo, B.C. his father-in-law and mother-in-law James and Clara Salberg of Magrath; and a host of relatives and friends throughout Southern Alberta. Funeral Services are tentatively set for Friday afternoon, in the Magrath United Church with interment to follow in the Magrath Cemetery. Friends will be interested in hear­ing of the recent marriage of Renee’ Jeanette Croteau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rene Croteau of Edmonton and Nicholas Gelych of Smokey Lake which took place June 26/76 in the Annuncia­tion Church, Edmonton. A June meeting of the Magrath Hospital Auxiliary was called to order by President Janet Boucher in the Nurses Lounge of the Hospital. Minutes were read and approved. One size fits all. ******* Beautiful ANTELOPE RIDGE WOMEN’S INSTITUTE Elaine Holland, Public Health Nurse from Chief Mountain Health Unit, Cardston, was guest speaker at the Women's Institute meeting June 28th at the home of Carol Raasch. She told about the services the Health Unit provides some of which include Pre­natal Classes held weekly in Lethbridge, Raymond and Cardston. Well Baby Clinic in Cardston. Hearing and Eye testing done in the schools. Speech Therapy is available in Cardston. T.B. Testing and Immunization are also provided by the unit and in most cases are free. Dental Hygiene will be free to all preschoolers ber. . A free Home Nursing offered in Septem-course and a Physical Fitness course for a small sum are available to the public. There should be about ten, people in a group to take either course. They each last ten weeks. The Clyne Harker family met on July 3rd to honor their parents who had been married 40 years on June 30th. All seven children were home for the occassion and included George, Laureen, Karen, Marvin, Merlin, Jean and Roy coming from Vancouver, Edmonton, Stettler, Lethbridge ■ and Magrath. The family had not been at f ive trunks at the home at the same time for six years. Dinner was served at noon tables set on the lawn under trees at the parents’ home. The afternoon was spent visit­ing while the grandchildren went swimming and played ball. There are 16 grandsons and 6 grand­daughters. He was 26 years of age. ' Born in Magrath on December 4, 1949, Clifford received his elementary and high school education in Magrath. Re attended the Lethbridge Community College and Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary. He was employed with Wittick Mechanical Contractors Ltd. of Lethbridge at the time of his passing. Clifford was interested in sports and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He served a term as a Steward on the official board of the Magrath United Church while still a teenager. He was married in April, 1973 to the former Dorothy Salberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Salberg of Magrath, and they had made their home in Leth­bridge. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife Dorothy, his parents Leonard and Alma Whitt, one brother Bill; two sisters Mrs. Irene (Alec) Dudas of Leth­bridge and Sharon at home; three nieces; his grandparents Mrs. Virginia Whitt of Lethbridge, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bortignon of Nanaimo, B.C. his father-in-law and mother-in-law James and Clara Salberg of Magrath; and a host of relatives and friends throughout Southern Alberta. Funeral Services are tentatively set for Friday afternoon, in the Magrath United Church with interment to follow in the Magrath Cemetery. Friends will be interested in hear­ing of the recent marriage of Renee’ Jeanette Croteau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rene Croteau of Edmonton and Nicholas Gelych of Smokey Lake which took place June 26/76 in the Annuncia­tion Church, Edmonton.
