Michelle Smith poured in 24 points while teammate Lauren Balderson had 18. The Cubs didn’t fare as well. They lost their game 47-23. On the boys side, the Zeniths defeated the Cardston Cougars in a home game on Friday with a score of 70-53. FORSYTH passed away in Magrath on January 16, 2002, beloved husband of Verna Neilson, father to Robert (Dixie), Mary Olga, Cindy (John) Andelin, Bill (Angela), J.D. (Sandy) also loved by his brothers, Ken (June), Mylo (Matilda), Garth (Jean), Bryce (June); sister, Ruth (Bob) Home; sister-in-law, Gladys and Chick, Elva Smith, Mary (Jim) Carlson and Jane Neilson. Twenty-four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and students and cadets whom he loved very much. He was predeceased by his parents, Neil & Chloe Forsyth; brothers, Rex and Scott. Duane was born in Magrath on June 3, 1922 and grew up in Cardston. Funeral Services were held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Welling, Alberta on Monday, January 21, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Bill Bullock officiating. Interment followed in the Taylorville Cemetery.
