There are two unframed portraits of First Nations men and one unframed portrait of a First Nations child attached to a covered board beside Nicholas. A bookcase beside the board contains framed family photographs, books and a toy car. Partially visible above the bookcase is another framed portrait obscured by the glare from the light.
